According to an article titled “Spacetech startup Bellatrix raises $20 million from Cactus Partners to scale satellite propulsion manufacturing” published by The Economic Times, the company has raised $20 million in a funding round led by Cactus Partners.
The investment marks a significant step for Bellatrix as it seeks to scale production of its satellite propulsion systems, an increasingly critical component in the rapidly expanding global small satellite market. The company develops electric and green chemical propulsion technologies designed to improve satellite maneuverability, extend mission lifespans, and reduce environmental impact compared to conventional systems.
With satellite launches accelerating due to demand from communications, earth observation, and defense applications, propulsion systems have emerged as a strategic bottleneck. Bellatrix aims to address this by expanding manufacturing capacity and accelerating commercialization of its product portfolio, including its Hall-effect thrusters and eco-friendly propellant-based solutions.
