Cyberint Secures $40 Million to Advance AI-Powered Cybersecurity Amid Rising Global Threats

In a move that underscores the burgeoning influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the field of cybersecurity, Israeli startup Cyberint has successfully garnered a $40 million investment in a recent funding round led by the global investment firm, Summit Partners. With cybersecurity threats becoming more sophisticated and pervasive, the investment marks a significant recognition of Cyberint’s unique position in the protective tech landscape, as detailed in a report from Calcalist Tech titled “Cyberint raises $40 million”.

Founded in 2010 by Alon Arvatz and Itay Winter, Cyberint offers a suite of digital risk protection services that heavily rely on AI to extend across multiple digital channels, including the deep and dark web. The company’s proprietary technology platform, Argos™, is engineered to detect and mitigate potential threats before they can escalate into full-blown crises. By proactively hunting for data leakage, security breaches, and fraud attempts, Cyberint aims to arm organizations with the necessary tools to preemptively ward off attacks.

The growing reliance on digital solutions across various sectors has led to an exponential increase in the volume and sophistication of cyber threats. Traditional cybersecurity measures are often reactive rather than preventive, a limitation Cyberint seeks to overcome with its forward-looking AI-driven approach. As Alon Arvatz, co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Cyberint, explains, their strategy involves understanding the behaviors and tactics of cyber criminals which allows for more dynamic defense mechanisms.

The inclusion of Summit Partners, a firm with an extensive track record of investing in forward-thinking technology companies, reflects a robust confidence in Cyberint’s operational model and market potential. According to Anthony Clervi, a Managing Director at Summit Partners who now sits on Cyberint’s Board of Directors, what sets Cyberint apart is not just their advanced technological framework but also their comprehensive understanding of the cybersecurity domain. Clervi emphasizes that Cyberint is well-positioned to address the increasingly complex cybersecurity challenges faced by modern enterprises.

Indeed, with cyberattacks no longer a matter of “if” but “when,” companies like Cyberint are critical in the shift towards an era of cybersecurity that not only reacts to threats as they occur but anticipates and neutralizes them beforehand. This funding is poised to expand Cyberint’s reach and refine its technology, ultimately contributing to a safer digital environment for businesses around the globe.

This investment not only highlights the robust market confidence in AI-driven cybersecurity solutions but also marks an important step in the evolution of digital risk management tools that are becoming integral to protecting assets in a digitally-driven world. As threats evolve, so too must the solutions, and with substantial backing now in place, Cyberint is on the pathway to setting new benchmarks in the cybersecurity arena.
